The Pride of Baghdad is about a pride of lions in a zoo in Baghdad. There is a problem, the birds are saying the sky is falling but it’s actually an airstrike on Baghdad. This then causes havoc in the zoo with carcuses and debris flying everywhere, The lions are then roaming around the ruins of the city of bagdad with the army round the corner what will happen next? The lions and lionesses now have to fight for their lives…
I think that this book deserves 5 stars because it’s a very well illustrated and written book knowing now it was based on a true story. I especially like this book because the lions are so determained to find out what the hell is going on!!! I also love this book because there are many connections to war and survival in this very wartorn invoroment in this book.
