Kiss is a book about a boy called Carl and a girl called Sylvie, they have been friends forever but when they go up to high school, because they are in different schools things start to turn out different to what Sylvie had planned.
Sylvie had made a new best friend called Miranda but she is a bit of a trouble maker.
Carl and Sylvie are next door neighbours but they don’t talk as much as they used to, Carl is keeping a big secret from Sylvie and she is desperate to find out.
When it is Carl's birthday Carl goes to a big glass museum with his new friend Paul, Sylvie and Miranda but they decide to have a game of hide and seek but Sylvie isn’t really up to it but she joins in she was waiting for Carl for 10 minutes and he never came so she went looking for him.
She found out Miranda and Paul had already left but the glass museum was about to close so she waits at the doors for him.
Sylvie finds out Carl's big secret and she was really shocked to find out that he was a homosexual and that he tried to kiss Paul but Paul had punched and kicked him.
Carl had a glass hut in his back garden but he smashed nearly all of it because he was so angry at Paul, he had also sliced his wrists and hands to shreds.
Everyone at his school was making fun of him because he was homosexual.
Miranda fixed the problem and then he kissed Sylvie gently on the lips and that was what she wanted to happen.
