Eva then teaches Doughnut some moves to do on the bars and the floor and then Doughnut gets a gold medal for the floor. Eva doesn’t get any medals because she has refused to eat and she is feeling sick.
I recommend this to teenage readers because the things that happen in this book happens in real life.

A Perfect Ten is about a budding gymnast called Eva. Eva was in a car accident when she was very young, this accident broke her ribs but killed her big sister Amber. Over the years Eva has struggled to cope with the guilt as she believes that the crash was her fault. Her mum is also finding it hard; she has to go away on a residential course to make her “well again”. Whilst she is gone Eva refuses to eat and ends up losing her energy so that when her big competition comes she can’t keep up and loses out on a medal. However she takes a coaching course and lives her dreams as a gymnastics coach. Once she finally admits to herself that Amber is dead and it wasn’t her fault all is well her, mum returns home and has recovered Well. A very exciting and satisfactory read I recommend it to all.
