14-year old troublemaker Cynthia Bigge wakes up one morning to find her entire family - mother, father and older brother - have all disappeared without any explanation. 25 years later, the adult Cynthia appears on a Crimewatch-style programme in the hope of discovering the truth. Her appearance triggers a series of strange events which lead Cynthia closer to the truth, yet further away from her sanity. The author had me hooked right to the end of the book, with the final plot twist coming barely 5 pages from the end of the story. I would highly recommend book and author to anyone.
