This book is about a 5 year old boy called Jack who lives with his ‘Ma’ in a small 12 foot room in the back garden of ‘Old Nick’.
When she was 19 years old, Jack’s mum was abducted and held captive and repeatedly attacked by her captor. Jack and his ‘Ma’ decide on a plan to escape from Old Nick but will they succeed?
You should read this book because it is really gripping and I couldn’t stop reading. It is also based on a true story which also makes it the little bit more gripping.
