Vampire Kisses By Ellen Schreiber

Raven is a gothic school girl. She only has one friend.
Her family is nothing like her and neither is her one friend.
There is an abandoned mansion, which she sneaks into nothing.
But one day when she goes in and she finds a boy Alexander, they become friends then fall in love.
But, Alexander disappears and Raven will do anything to find him.
On her way to find him she meets Jagger, an evil vampire.
Also his sister Luna and brother Valentine try to kill Alexander.
What I particularly liked about this book was that Raven will do anything
To save her boyfriend.

By Bananas

Vampire Kisses is about a girl who moves to a new town that she thinks is boring then she sees a mansion and wants to see inside. When she is 16 the people that live in the mansion move out and new people move in. They are dark and mysterious and she likes that. She only has one friend but a boy named Trevor likes her and invites her to a party and takes her to the woods to kiss her but she doesn’t like it. Then she meets the boy that lives in the house and they fall in love.
I enjoyed this book because it is romantic and a horror and hope you read it to.

The Host by Stephanie Meyer

This book is by the author of the Twilight saga. It doesn’t have the same love triangle with werewolf/ vampire/ human but it still continues to challenge the difference between real life and just stories. This book is about a healer called Fords Deep Waters that helps people that have no soul like the first girl you hear about, Melanie Stryder. The Host (that’s a nickname for the soul) is supposed to take full control of the body but Melanie refuses to fade away and so the Host is forced to give in to the mere teenage girl and the story shows what Melanie makes the Host do. Including find out what happened to her cousin Sharron.

Vampirates: Black Heart by Justin Somper

The fourth installment of the Vampirates series, and my favourite. Filled with drama and action; it keeps me holding the book and not wanting to release it. Introduction to new characters, and my own favourite: Lady Lola Lockwood, a.k.a Black Heart. She brings such class to the story and an unexpected romance to the savage brute, Sidorio, the so-called King of the Vampirates.

I can’t believe how much adventures the twins, Conner and Grace Tempest, could appear in and how they were in such a story before they were even born. To meet their mother brings a small warm feeling in my body and such heartache when they find out her time is limited. The story is full of awesome plots and heroic actions. I highly recommend it to age 12+ and to those who love both vampires and pirates.

This is one of the best Alex Rider books. Anthony Horowitz is just SUPERB! In this one a Rev. that owns a charity, uses the money from the charity to make a formula to try and kill hundreds of thousands of people. It’s a real thriller! It was as if I was looking through Alex Riders eyes. I really recommend it. If you liked the other Alex Rider books you’ll love this.

Red Nose Day

Celebrate Red Nose Day by enjoying a nose poem!

YOUR NOSE

The blowing of your nose was a trumpet
thrilling the house, rocking from cellar to attic,
shaking the stairs and banisters. It was a strict
aquiline beak that you called ‘Roman’ – at least
it would have been if you hadn’t broken it
and crooked it sideways in the mending. You ate
Club biscuits in majestic bites, then hooked
the wrapper over your royal snout and snorted
until we giggled. Quick to condemn, you sniffed
with curling lip at fads and fatuous fools.
Even in later years your grand-dad trunk
inhaled the world as fiercely, quivering over
cut glass filled with amber. Presence flared
from your nostrils; little children warmed themselves
by dragon flames that lasted and lasted. Yes.

Pirates of the Caribbean

“Pirates of the Caribbean” is a very good book and is easy to keep along with. The characters are fearless. The book is a good long book and would be a good thing to do when you are idle. The story contains betrayal and war on the Caribbean seas.

I thought this book was really long but great. There was a lot of action in it.

By hinklebert humperdink

My book is about this boy who gets bullied by his brother and he thinks he is so cool. I think this book is really good because it is funny but that is my opinion. He has got another brother and he is 2 years old but he called GREG a ploopy that must be a bad word for his age.
By spider pig

Diary of a wimpy kid is about a boy who lives with his dad, mum, and 2 brothers. He doesn’t have many friends and the friends that he does have are not exactly like him, they are much weirder. His brother Roderick is a trouble maker and is in a band.  Greg is in middle school and he is trying to get popular. He tries wrestling, drama, athletics etc. Then he entered the comic strip for the school newspaper and he got in but the teacher basically ruined his comic strip. So he quit that and tried for the safety patrol and Rowley (his best friend) got the job. They got hot chocolate every morning and took the kindergarteners home. But one day Rowley was off and Greg scared the kindergarteners and blamed it on Rowley and Rowley got token off and then they really found out it was Greg and he got token off. They then fell out with each other and had a fight. Then Rowley eat mouldy cheese and they became friends again…  I recommend this book to anyone who reads this.

Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison

Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging is a book by Louise Rennison. It’s about a girl called Georgia Nicholson and all the things that happen in her life, but mainly revolves around her trying to catch a boy’s eye, Robbie, even though he’s 18 and she’s 15, and at the beginning he’s dating the girl that Georgia hates. Her best friend is Jas, who wants to date Robbie’s older brother. I really like this book for a lot of reasons, probably the main one being it’s laid out as if she’s writing a diary of the things that happen in her life. It’s really funny, and it’s full of loads of jokes that make you literally laugh out loud. The front cover is colourful and eye-catching and makes you want to read it straight away. This book has been made into a movie, and I like the movie as much as I like the book.

Would You Rather by Chris Higgins

Would you rather is a book about a young teenage girl who is obsessed with playing a game called Would You Rather. The game is all about choices like e.g. daddy or chips? Which one would you choose? She enters a competition to see who can write the best review of a sports game. She ends up meeting a boy called Sam on the train and falls in love! Her Mum rushes her off the train and she thinks she will never see him again, but when her dad's long lost sister comes onto the scene she realises that Sam is her cousin she is gutted. Her prize for winning the competition is a trip to London and then to Italy, but on the way her pregnant sister gives birth at home and they decide to ditch the London/Italy trip and go and see the new baby boy called Albie. I would recommend this book because it is such an interesting book. I could not put this book down. Read it!

Girl, Missing by Sophie Mckenzie.

My favorite book so far has been Girl, Missing by Sophie Mckenzie.

The book is about a girl called Lauren Matthews who is 14 and is looking for her birth parents because she was adopted when she was 3. When you read further on in the book you find out what happens or what the truth is because her adopted parents wont tell her anything about her past.

She wants to know more when her English teacher sets a homework task for the class. Their class homework was ‘Who am I’. When Lauren gets sidetracked and looks on a website that has missing children, she puts her name and age in the search engine (of the website). She then sees a picture of someone that looks like her and is posive that she is this girl.

She sets out to find this girl or to find out if she is this girl, her friend Jam and her mum and her brother go along with her but when she gets to the airport. Herself and Jam go to buy tickets for another plane.
I liked this because it is a mystry through out the book and when you read further on the book draws you in so you read more.

by Croaky2345

My favourite book is called Girl missing and the author is Sophie McKenzie!

The book is about a girl called Lauren she is 14 and she was adopted when she was three, it is the start of a new term and she has been asked by her English teacher to write an essay about herself but she gets sidetracked and looks on a missing children website. She types in her name and age, and finds a girl who went missing when she was three but the girls name is Martha Lauren, the girl would now be the same age as her.

She prints out the picture and the info of Martha and she hides it under her bed, she then asks her adoptive mum about her past her mum says that it was a closed adoption and she doesn’t know anything. She looks at Martha’s page every night until she had learned it off by heart, she is so sure it might be her but the is two reasons why it might not be 1: the girl’s name is Martha and 2: Martha is from America and she is from London!

Lauren decides to try and convince her family to go on a holiday to America to a theme park but she has a plan, her mum said she could take her friend Jam (James). When she gets to the airport she says to her mum she and Jam are going to get something to eat but instead they go and buy tickets to another part of America to find out what happened to this girl and if she might be her!

Lauren and Jam find out that it’s not so easy to find out about this girl, with people trying to kidnap and kill them and with her parents on her tail the whole time, with loads of twists and turns this story will keep you gripped the whole time!

I really liked this book because I couldn’t put it down the whole time and I really recommended this book to anyone.

Love and Kisses By Jean Ure

This book is about a girl who is walking to a friend’s house and sees a guy who he thinks is cute. She then gets to know him and starts getting into loads of trouble cause she thinks she’s all that. She has been seeing him for about 2 months and they decide to run away to Spain together. She asks her mum and dad and they go mad and tells her she can't see him ever again. She continues seeing him and is still planning to run away with him.

I think this is a very good book and would recommend it to anyone who is between the ages of 12-14. The book is easy to read but is quite big.

Before I Die by Jenny Downham

Before I Die is about a girl called Tessa who is 16 years old and is told she had cancer at age 8. Tessa is told she only has a short time left before she will die. She then makes a list of things she wants to do before she dies which her best friend Zoey could help her with. I liked this book because it was really interesting and was very hard to put down.

Becoming Bindy McKenzie by Jaclyn Moriarty

This book is quite interesting, although at some parts it gets really confusing because the main character is really smart. The book is about a young Australian girl called Bindy who goes to High school. She isn’t good at making friends, and after trying hard, she decides to be mean. It doesn’t work and everyone ends up hating her.

What I really like about this book is that somewhere in the middle, she overhears a conversation that only becomes important close to the end.

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer

Artemis Fowl is a book about a young Irish boy who is the son of a billionaire. When his father is killed moving a chunk of the family fortune to Russia, Artemis decides to turn to crime to reinstate their status as billionaires. His plan comes in the form of kidnapping a race that has remained hidden for thousands of years - fairies. These aren’t your typical bedtime story fairies.
I really enjoyed this book. Although because it has the word fairies in it and your natural instinct is to think “that’s a girl’s book” that’s not true. It twists your perspective of the word fairies to bring a fun, fast paced book full of adventure.

By Ted Macdonald

Airman by Eoin Colfer

It is about a boy in a dungeon who has to escape to clear his name and wants his old life back.
If you like action, adventure, gun crime, Eoin Colfer’s books is the one you want. It is exciting because the author makes it very tense.
