The book is about the young version of Sherlock Holmes at the age of 14. Sent the countryside for his summer holidays, with his father at war, his brother working in London and his mother and sister ill, Sherlock has to live with his Uncle. While he is staying in the countryside he encounters a boy who lives on a boat, two American immigrants and two mysterious dead bodies, an unknown yellow powder and a gang of street thugs to encounter. Will Sherlock discover the mystery or would he be taken by the mysterious killer of the bodies….
