The Dare Game by Jacqueline Wilson

A girl called Justine challenged a girl called Tracy to play a game of dares they played dares in the garden and they got worse every time. The last dare was when Tracy got dared to climb up the tree as far as she can go but she got stuck and had to get help to get down. The girls continue to tease each other about what happened and both claim they won. The story continues with a lot more drama and humour.

I really enjoyed this book it has a lot of humour and the dares were very funny there was some sad bits as well. I would recommend this book to younger and older readers I am sure they would enjoy it!

Skellig by David Almond

A boy named Michael moved into a house with a strange man in the garage. All the man said was "Leave me alone!" Therefore Michael left him. The girl next door called Mina loved art and birds. Michael and Mina became really good friends, so Mina showed him her secret hideout which was full of Tawny Owls. michael was so touched that she showed him so he asked her to go to the garage with him...!!!

I really enjoyed this book because it pulled me in and took me into my own little world. i would read this book a million times before I got bored of it. The ending is happy with some sad, funny moments. I would recommend this book to EVERYONE!!!!

Living with the Mach Factor by Felix Moggie

It's about a cat called Mach and her owner is called Elaine. When Elaine is out Mach does loads of things from taking long walks around town or sitting inside watching tv cat food adverts or running up and down the corridor until she gets tired. the characters in it are Mach, Ralph, Bruce, Nutta, Flash, Tess, Tiger and Chancer.

I like this book because it's funny and full of surprises. It has some pictures and it's very interesting. It's not confusing and it's simple to read. It is one of my favourite books.

Skellig by David Almond

The story is about a boy called Michael who moves house and finds a man in his garage. The man keeps telling Michael to leave him alone. He became really mysterious. His little sister is really ill at the time and has been in hospital regularly and he is worried that she's going to die.

I think the story is really good because Michael goes on an adventure trying to figure out who is the man in the garage. His next door neighbour Mina takes him and tells him everything is going to be ok with the baby and at the end Michael gets to name the baby Joy.

The Fire Within by Chris D’Lacey

This book is about a college student who moves into a house where his landlady is a potter. But all is not as it seems as there is a room where she makes her sculptures and one day he goes in and finds out all what happens.

I think this book was excellent and if you’re into fantasy and dragons like me you’ll love this book!

Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison

A rom-com (Romantic, Comedy). 'Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging' is about a 14 year old girl going through, particularly unlucky, yet typical teenage situations. Georgia Nicholson's diary is very funny and explores the day-to-day life of a teenage girl.

I really loved these books. Georgia makes mistakes every girl thinks about making and shares her experinces with us in a totlally hillarious way! I would recommend this book to every girl.

As Edward tries to get her to marry him and Jacob confesses his love to her, new born vampires are in Seattle plotting to end the Cullen clan including Bella.

"It took me a second to grasp what he was saying,... Will you kiss me Jacob?"

This book is mind-blowing romance that captures the idea of a teenage love triangle, with a twist. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is hungry for a bit of vampire romance.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is about a boy who lives with his mum, dad and two brothers. He doesn’t have many friends but the friends he does have are not exactly like him: they are much weirder. His brother Roderick is a trouble maker and is always pulling tricks on him! I like this book because it’s funny and am always up for comedy but the writer should make the chapters longer. He organises the chapters by days but 1 chapter is only 4 or 5 lines long and a bit more detail of some things would be good. Apart from that the book is really good!!

Skellig by David Almond

About a boy who goes into his garage and he sees a guy covered in cobwebs and blue bottles. When he tries to find out who he is the story becomes a bit more mysterious.

I thought it was boring because there was no action.

Never the Bride by Paul Magrs

'Never the Bride' is the first book in Paul Magrs humor filled gothic horror series. Set in Whitby it features two seemingly traditional old ladies - Brenda and Effie - who find themselves pulled into supernatural danger at regualr intervals.

Neither lady is quite as sweet as they seem, Brenda was created by Dr.Frankenstein to be a bride for his original monster though that relationship didn't work out. Effie on the other hand isn't supernatural but does come from a long line of witches. In this book the handsome Alucard hits on Effie and something strange is happening to the women of the town as the latest youth restoring treatment is actually making them look younger. It's up to Brenda and Effie to save the day.

Well worth reading it's a crime story with a supernatural edge.
