Bicycle Blues By Anthony Masters

There is a teenage boy who really wants a mountain bike so he gets it for his birthday. He goes to buy a drink and the bike is gone when he comes back. So then he goes to try and find it, he spots a bike that is the same as his in a garden so he goes and gets it. He realises it’s not his but the person that owns the bike sees him take it and tries to batter him but he comes up with an excuse. They see a old house type thing and they go inside to try and find the bike.

I think that the book was very interesting and unexpecting I would say that this book is quite short and is well worth reading.

Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets by J.K.Rowling

This book is a fantasy book about a boy whose parents were killed by a very, very evil wizard called Lord Voldemort. Lord Voldemort is a very powerful wizard. He killed Harry’s parents when he was a baby. Harry is on a journey through a school of witchcraft and wizardry in which every year round the corner there will be a different story.

My opinion is that this book and film has been a really big success and I would recommend it to everyone, I loved it.

Battleground by Chris Ryan

This book is about a 14 year old (Ben)on a school exchange program in Pakistan. Ben and his Pakistani host find thenselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, they see something they weren’t supposed to and are kidnapped by terroristsand learn about a terrorist attack in southern Afganistan which could kill thousands. They then find themselves in the most terrifying battleground in the world.

To be honest I’ve never read the book but I had a look at the blurb and it sounds very good. I am into war and big plans including terrorist attacks and things that make me wonder if it happens and theres no happy ending or if it’s stopped even when what ever big thing that’s been planed has been activated.

The Thin Executioner by Darren Shan

I love this book; it is really good and I am into all the horror that is in this book. Some bits were a bit too creepy and scarey but apart from that it’s a good book. This book is about a young boy (Jebel Ruin) that sets off on the most dangerest thing known to man, he sets off on a quest with a slave (Tel Hassan).
Just when things go good they go bad, real bad. As they cross a land where they are not allowed slaves. Jebel could be killed or will the slave keep quiet about it and they can get on with their lives.

This is one book that you should get if you’re into adventure and fear by the number one horror book the U.K right now.

The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne

The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas is quite a good book because it is about a boy whose dad becomes the commandant of Auschwitz and they move out into the country beside the camp and the boy Bruno has a friend in the camp and goes to see him every day and takes him food and plays games with him. But at the end there is a tragic accident…read it yourself to find out what!

By Douglas Pritch

The boy in stripped pyjamas is about a boy that lived in Berlin during the second world war then moves to a place called Out-with. Out of his window he notices a farm with people in stripped pyjamas.  This is actually a concentration camp.

It’s a good book all about adventure and excitement. When Bruno decides to have a little adventure of his own he sees what happens at the farm and when he does he meets a small boy. I think it’s a fantastic book  because its a good storyline.

By James

This book is about a nine year old boy (Bruno); don’t think this book is for nine year olds. He has moved from his home in Berlin and had to stay in a place called out-with, one day he walks along a fence and meets a boy called shumel. The two boys become friends easily, even though Shumel does not look the same as Bruno one thing is he has no hair and he wears striped pyjamas. He also is very skinny

I read this book in class, during school time. I found it very hard to imagine what the camp would look like. But the thing what happen their are horrible so I hope you don’t find a place like this.

It's all about a boy who's parents are murdered one night when he's just a baby. He escapes and is adopted by the ghosts of a nearby graveyard but it appears that his parents killer isn't about to let him live happily ever after!

Neil Gaiman’s work is always great and interesting (I'm a big fan of his adult books) but this really is a wonderful read. I started it and genuinely couldn't put it down.
