Angus, thongs and full frontal snogging by Louise Rennison

Angus thongs and full frontal snogging is a very good book about a teenage girl called Georgia. Georgia’s dad has set off to go to New Zealand for a job and Georgia is left with her mum and sister Libby. She is part of the ace crew, Jas, Ellen, Jools, Mabs and Georgia, also known as the famous five. Jas and Georgia are the best of friends and when the new boys come to school they go all shy and nervous. Georgia has a cat called Angus she got him when she was up in Scotland. He was a stray and she thought that he was cute but Angus was a viscous cat and whenever he is lying on Georgia’s bed he will attack her.

I really liked this book because it was set like a diary and it told you about the little things as well as the big things. The book made me laugh a lot and I would recommend reading it to anyone. It is more of a girly book but it is still funny. There are 10 books in total. I will be looking forward to the 10th book still to come out.

It's ok, I'm wearing really big knickers by Louise Rennison

I enjoyed this book it made me laugh. I have read the other books in the series and I think they are brilliant. Louise Rennison is a great author I think that the books she writes are suitable for my age group. There is the main character called Georgia Nicholson, she is paranoid about her nose she thinks it’s massive. There are nine books in the series. Georgia’s best friend is called Jas. She is funny she wore big knickers with a mini skirt. This is my favourite book out of the series because it was funnier than the rest of them. There was a movie out this year about the first book and this book and another called ‘Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging’. I think the books are better because they give more detail and description.

Even Fouler Football by Michael Coleman

I have just read this book recently and it was very good seen as I love football and it’s about the history of football and includes how to do tricks, how to fool the goalkeeper etc. This book is really good if you like football, it tells you how football used to be played and where football was originated. This book is quite funny, it includes comic strips and makes jokes out of some of the information. It has lots of quizzes to see if you have read well and how much you have learned. I highly recommend this book.

Lionboy by Zizou Corder

This book is one of the best in the library for animal lovers. In the book twelve year old Charlie’s parents have been kidnapped by ‘cool boy’ Ralphie so Charlie sets off to rescue them. One more thing, he can talk to cats. Over all I recommend this book greatly to any other reader who enjoys a detailed and animal-tastic book!

The Perfect Ten by Chris Higgins

The Perfect Ten Is about a young teenage girl called Eva. She does the sport gymnastics and she has done it for years. Her mother is very strict and she pushes Eva to do her best, but one day her mother is depressed and has to go away for a while so poor Eva has to put up with her brothers and father. Then a new girl comes to gymnastics that is overweight and Eva always makes fun of her but her best friend Rommly tries and gets her to stop it. So then Eva befriends her. In the gym Rommly and the new girl has a doughnut licking competition and that’s how she gets her nickname ‘Doughnut’

Eva then teaches Doughnut some moves to do on the bars and the floor and then Doughnut gets a gold medal for the floor. Eva doesn’t get any medals because she has refused to eat and she is feeling sick.

I recommend this to teenage readers because the things that happen in this book happens in real life.
